-15 update

A bit longer than a month ago i embarked on an effort to listen to different music in my collection. To check out artists I haven't heard much or didn't listen to much.

These were the 15 artists I stopped listening too for a month (ok 6 weeks now but eh). The numbers in parenthesis are the playcount according to Last.fm
1. Radiohead (651)
2. Pixies (451)
3. Led Zeppelin (349)
4. Wilco (338)
5. Atmosphere (312)
6. The Beatles (306)
7. Bob Dylan (289)
8. David Bowie (259)
9. Nine Inch Nails (259)
10. The Decemberists (251)
11. Spoon (248)
12. Bjork (226)
13. Ryan Adams (211)
14. Neil Young (194)
15. Nirvana (191)

Since then the list has changed quite a bit and I have listened to artists I haven't heard in such a long time. Here is the current list of Top 15 followed by the place of the artists above who have dropped off.

1. Radiohead (651)
2. Pixies (451)
3. Sonic Youth (417)
4. Led Zeppelin (349)
5. Wilco (338)
6. The Shins (328)
7. Tom Waits (320)
8. Atmosphere (312)
9. The Beatles (306)
10. The Twilight Singers (297)
11. The Clash (290)
12. Bob Dylan (289)
13. Neko Case (286)
14. Eels (284)
14. Modest Mouse (284)

17. David Bowie (259)
17. Nine Inch Nails (259)
22. The Decemberists (251)
23. Spoon (248)
25. Bjork (226)
27. Ryan Adams (211) [does not include Ryan Adams & the Cardinals]
30. Neil Young (194)
31. Nirvana (191)

As you can see I listened to quite a few new artists that climbed into the top 15. I like limiting what I listen to at times as a great way to explore something else. The last 6 weeks have been fun and maybe in a few months I will try this again. Never know what artists I can get hooked onto then.
